Abstract

Organizations today increasingly rely upon new measures of detecting employee honesty. Such approachs including lie detectors, handwriting analysis, voice stress tests, have their supporters and detractors.

This thesis will specifically concentrate upon the phenomenon of lie detectors...its origin, application and evaluation.

This thesis covers reasons why employers use these techniques, controversial issues centered around their use, legal implications, and their outlook in the employment setting.
