Abstract
A Microcomputer Local Area Network Interface system for use in the study of Local Area Network has been built and tested. The special feature of the system is data transmission/receiving and error detection/recovery. The system adapted the International Standards Organization (ISO) Open System Interconnection COSI) model. It used the star topology and implemented the physical layer, data link layer and network layer. The results of the system indicated the data communications and resources—sharing between microcomputers.
