Abstract
A problem of major and continuing concern is the proper disposal of unwanted waste oils and wastewaters containing oils from lubrication/manufacturing operations as well as unwanted or catostrophic oil spills. This article discusses the subject in terms of oil spill incidents, physical and chemical methods of waste oil recovery, land disposal, incineration, controlling and measuring spills.
