Abstract

This thesis employs ANSYS program to calculate the natural frequency of a stiffened HVAC duct and to investigate the affect of these stiffeners to the values of the natural frequency.

Investigation through this thesis shows that increases in the number of transverse stiffeners mould increase the natural frequency of the HVAC duct and the installation of the axial stiffener mould also increase the duct natural frequency.
