Abstract

The TMS32010 Evaluation Module (EVM) and Analog Interface Board (AIB) have been used to implement a digital signal processing system. This new system will be the hardware basis for research and development in the DSP field at NJIT in the future. This thesis will serve as a user's guide and overall technical manual for the system.

TMS32010 Assembler, Linker and Simulator in VAX-11 are used to develop the system software, then we can down load the object codes to the EVM through the MODEM in order to test them. By using the A/D and D/A converter as input and output on AIB, test can be done practically.

The features and advantages about the TMS32010 are also discussed so that anyone who wish to use this equipment later can get the basic ideas about it.
