Abstract
This objective of this research was to develop a knowledge based CAD tool, to address the problems of Logic Design. MIZER is an expert system, that accepts functional specifications of a logic circuit and connectivity description of its implementation to generate an optimal design. This information is then used to develop a hazard free circuit that brings about an optimization in area and timing. It stores the newly created design into its knowledge base with the approval of the designer, for future use.
