Abstract
The rates of reductive dehalogenation reactions of alkyl iodides with zinc and acetic acid relative to the rate of deiodination of methyl iodide were investigated.
The order of ease of replacement of the iodine for the various substituents on the carbon atom of methyl iodide was found to be;
