The objective of this presentation is to clarify the idea of computerized technology in training. and to emphasis its utility, structure and effectiveness. The literature references, personal interviews and actual use of applications have provided me with many examples of effective as well as ineffective integrated programs.

The measurement of any new technology is an important issue in any organization. To measure effectiveness you have to measure whether or not a technology has achieved its original purpose and whether the goals have been met within budgetary constraints. The effectiveness fo CB Mediums in training is measured by how well the employee performs an action or understands and applies this knowledge to his decision making process.

Training has to be evaluated in terms of whether it has reached its goal. This goal is then determined through an inductive process resulting in an employee who can perform his job properly and then determining what abilities are needed to accomplish this, then how will these skills be effectively brought into the workplace. These training needs are estimated with regard to budget, time, and integration of a program.

The components of the paper are structured into topics organized by the outline. Each topic attempts to site examples and opinions and present them in an orderly fashion. The first chapter explains what computer-based training is and the factors involved. The second chapter shows the types fo computer based training mediums available. The third chapter discusses types of applications and in what organizations computer-based training will be useful. The fourth chapter discusses the evaluation process of computer-based training mediums. The final chapter of the paper summaries opinions gathered and discusses the future of Computerized Training.
