Abstract

Multiple access technologies plays an important role in designing distributed computer communication system. Here, CSMA/CD has attracted researchers' attentions in the last ten years. In this paper, based on attributions of the slotted, nonpersistent CSMA/CD system, performance of CSMA/CD channel is analyzed. Adaptive Retransmission Technique is adopted to obtain the maximum throughput. Also, equilibrium contours are derived to discuss the stability of the system. And use FET to measure the stability of CSMA/CD channel that FET gives an approximate measure of the average uptime of an unstable channel.
