Taylor's theory, Cost Accounting System and Japanese Quality Control methods were practiced in a real situation of Taiwan manufacture. The advantages and disadvantages of their use were evaluated.
Besides, it was found that the major problems facing small business in Taiwan were:
(1) Lack of sufficient professional knowledge for the policy makers.
(2) Shortage of business planning.
(3) Insufficiency of legal knowledge of international business
(4) Waste of material and labor.
In addition, differences and similarities between small business in Taiwan and in America were described. The role of Chinese cultural background in business management was also explored.
