Abstract
With computer and telecommunications technology that incorporates computer-mediated communication, the office' can be located anywhere. Increasing numbers of white collar workers are choosing to work at home for at least part of the work week. The authors describe some of the effects of this trend on the office, including its impact on managerial style and work-group organization.
