Abstract

A new group-contribution method for the estimation of liquid-phase activity coefficients is presented which uses only one energy parameter per group/group interaction. The development is accomplished theoretically rather than by reinterpreting the terms of a molecular model. Comparative results of predictions using the new model and UNIFAC are given. © 1987 Plenum Publishing Corporation.
