Abstract
Three-dimensional alumina photonic bandgap (PBG) structures, fabricated by fused deposition of multimaterials (FDMM), were investigated. The finite-element and real-time electromagnetic modeling generated three-dimensional photonic bandgap in the microwave frequency region. The FDMM technology allowed high fabrication flexibilty and efficiency to generated complicated 3-D structures.
