Description
Figure 1.7: Conversion of decimal fraction to binary. Multiply 0.625 by 2 to get 1.25. This expresses 0.625 as 1.25 x 2^(-1). Repeat this process on the fractional part until the fraction is 0. The integer portions of the products form the binary representation of the fraction.
