Figure 1.5: Converting 927.625 from binary to hexadecimal. Zeroes added to complete groups of four bits are shown in red. Divide bits into groups of four starting at the radix point, going in both directions. Pad out incomplete groups with zeroes. Then convert each group to its hexadecimal digit.
