Description

This Weston Standard Cell is, in effect, a battery of known and constant voltage. Not intended to power a device, it served as a standard voltage to compare other voltage devices. The Eppley Laboratory was founded by US Navy Captain Marion Eppley in 1917 to supply Weston cells to various manufacturers of test equipment.
