Abstract
The world of science and technology of environmental engineering and environmental protection are on the path of newer scientific regeneration and deep scientific understanding. Water and wastewater treatment in the global scenario today stands in the middle of deep scientific introspection, comprehension and vision. Arsenic and heavy metal groundwater contamination are burning and vexing global issues and are destroying the vast scientific and engineering landscape. Sustainability whether it is energy, environmental or socio-economic is the utmost need of the hour. In this article, the author deeply elucidates and describes the application of green or environmental sustainability in the mitigation of arsenic contamination of groundwater in developing countries particularly. The authors also stress upon the various arsenic remediation technologies and the immense scientific vision behind it. Scientific cadence, deep scientific and knowledge prowess and scientific understanding in the field of environmental engineering will surely lead a visionary way in the true unraveling of the scientific intricacies and the scientific difficulties in the application of green and environmental sustainability in water remediation and environmental protection globally. This treatise deeply discusses these issues with vast scientific vision, scientific understanding and scientific ingenuity.
