Abstract
Reduction of the ethylene acetal of methyl o-formylbenzoate with lithium aluminum hydride afforded 1,2 bis(2-oxaindan-1-yloxy)ethane(V a), whose interesting mass spectroscopic behavior is discussed. © 1980.
