Abstract
Feasibility study for the introduction of the saturable resistor as switching device in the network of linear induction accelerators is presented. The new accelerator can provide charging as well as accelerating beam current time duration in the order of µ sec which is desired in the utilization of heavy ion beam for inertial fusion research.
