Abstract

The authors provide a discussion of the potential for computerized conferencing as the first cost-effective technology for delivery of a classroom environment in the remote learning situation. A comparison is presented of remote learning approaches including correspondence, audio, video, and computer conferencing. Courses that have been offered through computer conferencing are described and considerations for instructors are discussed.
