Abstract
Biological treatment involves catalytic oxidation/reduction processes that take place at approximately ambient conditions. When effective, these processes are the cheapest means of chemically altering and detoxifying organic chemicals. This paper will discuss the future potential of biological treatment as a means of detoxifying industrial organic chemicals.
