Abstract
This paper presents the spring constants of piping-lug attachments. Three spring constants are reported, i. e. Radial spring constants, and rotational spring constants in circumferential and longitudinal directions. The analytical solutions for these constants area derived with Fourier series. They are in terms of internal pressure, q, and pipe-lug parameters like alpha (pipe length/pipe radius), beta (lug size/pipe diameter) and gamma (pipe radius/pipe thickness). The lug is rectangular in shape with sides ratio of 4. 0, 1. 0 and 0. 25 considered in this paper.
