Abstract
The production of fullerene using a gas outflow discharge method was discussed. In this method, cathode with longitudinal inner channel was used to inject helium as buffer gas to the electrode gap. It was observed the extreme values of fullerene yields and productivity was achieved by increasing the gas flow rate, current and electrode diameter. It was also observed that the temperature increase had reduced the quality of carbon vapor or amount of fullerene building blocks in the graphite vapor use for fullerene formation.
