Estimation of lesion probabilities using a neurological test database

Abstract
A model has been developed to aid in the localization of neurological lesions. It is based on an earlier approach which relates clinical neurological test outcomes to pathways implicated in function or malfunction. Methods for estimating spatial distributions of lesion probabilities are also used. A comparison between statistical and simulated calibration factors pertaining to anatomical and other data is made using the Monte Carlo method.
