Abstract
Improved Benson group values for thermodynamic properties of monochloroalkanes in the ideal gas state have been determined using literature data of Pedley et al., Stull, and the Texas A&M Thermodynamics Research Center with hydrocarbon group values of Benson, Domalski and Hearing, and Cohen. Thermodynamic properties for representative primary, secondary, and tertiary chloroalkanes determined using the group additivity scheme are compared with the above literature data. © 1993, American Chemical Society.
