Abstract
In this study, the mathematical problem, involving the axi-symmetric motion of a viscous fluid inside a cylinder, is handled completely with the aid of special functions and by some straightforward analysis. The new analysis of the problem shows that it solves an old problem using a rather systematic mathematical method that can be used to solve boundary value problems involving even more than two cylinders.
