Abstract
In this paper, a Dual Level Leaky Bucket Traffic Shaper (DLLBTS) architecture for the edge nodes of Differentiated Services networks is proposed. It can guarantee not only the class-based Service Level Agreement (SLA), but also the fair resources sharing among flows belonging to the same class. In order to make the implementation practical, we proposed a simplified DLLBTS architecture. This simplified scheme can achieve the goal of DLLBTS with a low implementation complexity so that it can be implemented with the current VLSI technology.
