Abstract
An alternative technique to invert algebraic equations is presented. The method employs a concept that is fundamental in the theory of functions of a complex variable - the residue theorem. Three examples are presented to demonstrate the technique. Examples 1 and 2 are elementary problems that can be quickly inverted by use of tables. The third demonstrates a more appropriate application of the method.
