Abstract
Carbohydrate-based novel bis(ammonium) chiral ionic liquids have been synthesized by following a straightforward protocol using isomannide as the substrate. Their applications in chiral discrimination and optical resolution of racemates have been established. © 2007 American Chemical Society.
