Abstract
The perception is widely held that the growth of the IT sector has become a major contributor to the recent economic growth and improvement of the productivity. Productivity is a concept that affects domestic economy and foreign trade volume of a country directly. Although it requires a painstaking effort to pin down all the variables that the production and productivity depend on, it is be possible to establish a relationship between IT investment, productivity, economy and foreign trade volume. This paper seeks to investigate the impact of IT on Turkey's foreign trade volume by using correlation method. © 2011 Published by Elsevier Ltd.
