Abstract
The field of nanotechnology has emerged with a multilateral potential and applications toward betterment of society and environment. The implementation of nanotechnology in the field of medicine has gained huge momentum considering its extended approach in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The various advancements in environmental remediation have attracted the interest of researchers across the globe. The extended use of nanotechnology in both the public and private sectors has led to enhanced approaches toward identifying the results, challenges associated with it. The multitudinous applications of nanotechnology have caused wide reactions including people's perception/attitude and acceptance toward the consequences and challenges associated with it. The potential of future applications considering the wide applicability of nanotechnology in multidisciplinary fields needs to be understood for a comprehensive understanding of perceptions toward nanotechnology. Thus this chapter discusses the understandability, acceptance, and general perception of public toward the novel innovations in the field.
