Abstract
We propose a new antenna array concept called Independently Center-fed Dipole Array (ICDA) for Ultra-Short-Pulse (USP) applications. The characteristics of a 12-element ICDA array were numerically analyzed. By using Finite-Difference Time Domain (FDTD), we show that the workable frequency range of ICDA is the sum of all its elements bandwidth. The transmission coefficient is linear, in terms of amplitude and phase, from 3.1 GHz to 10.6GHz.
