Abstract
Proposed is a scheme to measure the relative clock skew between two network nodes. The scheme is based on measuring the intra-packet gaps of probes sent between the two network nodes. The proposed scheme is evaluated through simulation under a heavy cross-traffic load scenario. The obtained results show that the scheme measures the clock skew with high accuracy despite the presence of cross-traffic. © 2012 The Institution of Engineering and Technology.
