Abstract

A summary of technology developments in supercomputing is given. A brief overview of biomedical applications of supercomputing is presented. Examples of applications include physiological systems modeling, molecular modeling and dynamics, biomedical visualization, drug design and protein engineering, biomedical signal processing, genetic engineering, artificial intelligence in medicine, and large-scale databases.
