Abstract

A language supporting the construction of real-time software systems from reusable components is described in this paper. An architecture suited to the efficient execution of such software is also described. Additionally, we provide a framework for analyzing real-time systems developed and executed in this context. Specifically, the assignment of modules to the processors of a parallel machine is considered and the analysis of programs to determine if deadlines will be met is discussed.
