Abstract

The nondegeneracy theorem for one-dimensional systems is reviewed herein. After considering Loudon's contention that this theorem does not apply in the presence of singular potentials, an example (in support of his assertion) which involves a singular potential with degenerate eigenstates is presented. © 1993 American Institute of Physics.
