Abstract
Aerosol cans have evolved into a more reliable and effective product. The aerosol cans must meet the requirements of the Food and Drug Administration. They must be of the proper size and weight. The Research and Development Laboratory at Hoffman-La Roche conducts the necessary tests on these drugs. The shot weight test and the dose uniformity test are some of the many tests performed on these products. The tests are very tedious and repetitive. An automated system will simplify the tests and will save valuable time and money.
