Abstract

The relationships between vagal tone and cardiovascular reactivity were discussed. The correlations between heart rate variability measurements and personality and/or family history (FH) of hypertension were also investigated. A stressor, which was the main effect, added insight to the effect of changing the order of tasks. No relationship between resting parasympathetic tone and cardiovascular reactivity was observed.
