Abstract
A 〈111〉 structure of 300 nm silica spheres (opal) was grown using nucleation process in an aqueous solution to study its nonlinear optical properties. The opal thick film structure was implanted by Si ions followed by annealing. The transmission and reflection of Si implanted silica opal changed dramatically as a function of light intensity.
