Abstract
A prediction minimum mean square error (PMSSE), which takes into consideration samples earlier than those correspond to bit rate, for joint multiaccess interference (MAI) and narrow-band interference (NBI) suppression in direct sequence/code division multiple access (DS/CDMA) systems is proposed. Its performance was analyzed and compared with that of conventional MMSE receiver. Its performance for Rayleigh fading channels was considered. Results show that the PMMSE receiver provides considerably better performance than the conventional MMSE receiver.
