Abstract
The performance of two kinds of minimum mean square error (MMSE) receivers for asynchronous code division multiple access (CDMA) channels are analyzed and compared. The exact expressions for their performance without neglecting the symbols outside the processing window are derived and comparative results are given by numerical examples. It is found that the chip-based MMSE receiver provides better performance than the multi-shot bit-MMSE receiver in asynchronous CDMA channel.
