Abstract
A kinetic model which described the phase separation in the mixture of long rod-like molecules and long chain-like molecules, was discussed. The angular distribution function was used for the orientation of the rods as a dynamical variable. The preferential diffusion along the rods was encompassed under kinetics. Numerical simulation of the phase separation kinetics and morphological analysis were also performed. The phase diagram computation results showed a number of transitions leading to phase separation.
