Abstract
The Monte Carlo technique alongwith the Nevoscope optical geometry were used to analyze the wavelength dependent, voxel-based skin lesion models. A correlation analysis between the lesion depth and the diffuse reflectance was used for selecting optimal wavelengths for skin lesion imaging. The results show that by combining the wavelength dependent penetration of monochromatic light with the trans-illumination imaging using the Nevoscope, the skin lesion depth information could be obtained.
