Abstract
Nonlinear and linear behavior of chemical vapor deposition (CVD)-grown single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNT) were demonstrated within an ordered array of silica spheres. The nonlinear effect was found to be strong and fast, making these structures good candidates for all-optical switches. The results showed that Current-voltage characteristics changed upon illumination with a laser beam.
