Abstract
Previously, we have considered electronic p-n junction as a protector of steel from corroding. Here we add graphene between the electronic barrier and metal and study its effect on the corrosion process. We compare our results to metal-graphene-polypyrrole structures. While graphene occupies only a few monolayers of carbon it has a noticeable effect on the surface potential of the metal. © The Electrochemical Society.
