Abstract
Supercapacitors are the most significant and promising energy storage and conversion systems in terms of the development of renewable and sustainable energy storage. The supercapacitors display features like high energy capacity and power supply along with long cyclic life, enabling important breakthroughs in advanced systems using energy from such sources. Supercapacitors present a unique blend of advantages promoting their commercialization. This chapter presents an attempt to demonstrate the current stature of supercapacitors in modern markets featuring different fields.
