Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has plunged the world into a crisis that is still ongoing. In some areas, there are major shortages of medical equipment. In the heat of the crisis, the use of 3D printing technology is on the rise as it is recognized as a critical technology to support healthcare improvements. Due to the important role of this technology in dealing with COVID-19, the awareness of those interested in this industry and public health, and providing the necessary information for the public, this survey aims to present the latest medical achievements with the help of 3D printing. The main objective of this study is to provide and collect information about the latest achievements in personal protective equipment for use during the COVID-19 crisis. In this chapter, the significance of 3D-printed materials for the control and fight against COVID-19 is expressed.
